General Information
Where is the Cable Car located?

The lower station is at Petra Krešimira IV 10a, opposite the fire station. It's a 5–6-minute walk from Pile Gate or the Old City. From Buža Gate, expect about 7–9 minutes of uphill walking.

What are the Cable Car operating hours?

The Cable Car opens daily at 9:00 AM, with departures every 15 minutes or as soon as enough passengers are ready.

How long is the ride?

The journey takes approximately 4 minutes each way.

Tickets & Purchase Options
Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available:

  • Online
  • At the lower station cash office
  • Via the ticket machine
  • In the gift shop at the upper station
  • At various authorized locations in town

Ticket prices are the same across all sales channels, but a €2 transaction fee applies to online purchases and those made at locations other than the lower station cash office or the ticket machine.

Are tickets date-restricted?

No. Tickets are valid any day until March 31 of the following year. Single rides can be used on the same day or later.

Do I need a reservation?

No. The Cable Car does not take reservations for individual rides. All passengers join the same queue.

Can I refund online tickets?

Yes, but only via email to the ticket seller: helpdesk@ulaznice.hr

How does boarding work at the lower station?

There’s only one queue for all passengers. The ticket booth is on the right; the entrance to the cable car is on the left.

Accessibility & Transport
Is the Cable Car accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes. Both stations are wheelchair accessible. The lower station has a concrete ramp, and the upper station includes an elevator.

How do I get to the Cable Car?

From the Port of Gruž, use a shuttle or taxi. From Pile or Ploče gates, it’s a short walk uphill (5–6 minutes).

Can I start from the upper station by car?

Yes, but note that the road from Bosanka village is narrow and not suitable for large vehicles, especially in high season.

Pets & Safety
Are pets allowed on the Cable Car?

No. For safety and evacuation reasons, pets of any size are not allowed in the cabins.

Weather Conditions
Does the Cable Car run in all weather?

No. Rides are temporarily suspended during high winds, thunderstorms, or heavy rain. We continuously monitor weather conditions for safety.

Summer Program: Films, Live Music & DJ Sets
What’s included in the summer entertainment program?

From June to September 15, 2025, we offer free evening events at the amphitheatre near the upper station:

  • Film screenings – Sundays & Tuesdays (start after sunset)
  • Live music – Mondays & Wednesdays (local acoustic performances)
  • DJ sets – Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays (family-friendly)
  • Face painting – Tuesdays & Thursdays (afternoons)
Are the film screenings free?

Yes. All events are free of charge. Just arrive 10 minutes early.

What language are the films in?

All films are in English, with English subtitles.

Does the Cable Car run during these events?

Yes, the Cable Car operates from the lower station before and after events, departing as soon as there are enough passengers.
